Hugely enjoyable series and really fantastic writing. Plotting works
very well and love Moira to bits. The alternate Angelus/Dru/Buffy
were so well done, frightening and plausible.

W&H restructuring into an evil news company
is inspired. The quiet certainty of Spike and Buffy
being together, even though Spike is going to be
overseeing Moira's trust, has a lovely ring to it. I
enjoyed this saga from beginning to end, and the give and
take of the POVs was fun to read.

lots of readers like me out there who are only sporadic
fanfic samplers -- who then get hooked to your entire
oeuvre after a single chance encounter with your work.
I especially admire how you remind me of why I liked
Buffy in the first place -- without ignoring all the
dreadful phases she went through to get from who she was
to who you've helped her to become.

They seem to have both grown in maturity through the

Very nicely done, sweetie! And you're
right, in an infinite number of worlds there have to be an
infinite number of Evil Angels... Of course, Angelus
doesn't fit the requirements of the prophecy the senior
partners are interested in, but Evil S3 type Angels
are all too possible...
Looking forward to the Spike chapter. I have a feeling
that Spike's feelings about Moira are a lot deeper
than Buffy might realise.

Nice twist with the possibility that
someone wanted Spike and Buffy to see that especially grisly
torture. I also enjoyed Giles finally acknowledging
the good Spike has accomplished. This chapter really
moved the story along.

too! But the thought of other Angel/us's coming out of
the woodwork is more than a little disturbing - and the

Away from the computer for a while, and
several twists and turns to read. The latest Angelus was
the worst of a truly bad lot. Thanks for having that
broken and battered Buffy end him. Her bizarro world
reference made me grin even amongst all the drama.
Moira's passing was unexpected. She was a strong
original character who seemed timeless. I loved Spike and
Dawn's relationship with her, and their reactions to her
death were heart felt. Nice job with these past
several chapters.

I don't know how I missed the previous
chapter, but it was excellent as usual. I love your
attention to the little details in this story. Dawn
brewing tea for Moira, Spike fetching a chair for her, etc.
It fleshes the story out while constantly showing the
bonds and affection between the characters.
I also liked that there was no "morning after"
weirdness between Spike and Buffy. Their easiness is
delightful to read.

I was surprised by the ineffectual rescue
attempt, and Spike's snarking made me laugh even as the
tension was rising. Angelus' untimely arrival was
entertaining, and I thought Angel and Moira were in for
a much tougher time of it. I loved this sympathetic,
vengeful Dru, and keeping Angelus as her ever
recovering patient in the other world is a wonderful image.

I do hope they get up to see Nessie sometime. Our
poor dears are separated again before they can get past
the kissing. I have no doubt Spike will be rescued(or

least. Love the ALt-verse Dru & Angelus. Reckon Angel
will meet his evil counterpart? More thrills are in

Is it just me who gets an ominous feeling
when you do the double update thing? I don't know
whether I'm just imagining that it never comes out good
from our heroes POVs.
And poor Spike doesn't even get a chance to appreciate
the good before he's being victimised.
I just hope
that he manages to give Angelus a surprise and get
himself out of this without Buffy's help. I know in your
'verse Buffy owes him one, but there was too much of him
being portrayed as the weaker link in the relationship
in canon for any more to sit easily, not to mention
that this dimension's Spike has already proved that he
can beat either Angel or Angelus... Of course, that
said, I bet you could write Buffy (& Angel) ride to the
rescue and make me love every line... Hey, if you can
put Buffy and Angel in a room and have both of them act
like adults, you can pull off anything.

How did I get so behind? I read chapters
24-30 and must say I love the plot twists and turns.
The rescue of the slayers was exciting, especially the
magic coming from the crystal. I'm looking forward to
learning why Spike was effected by its power, too.
Giles sure is a cold bastard, but I like that Buffy is
standing up to him.
Dawn's reconciliation with Spike was heartfelt and
charming. Spike's injuries have given the characters a
chance to be closer without pressure. I'm looking
forward to learning the fate of the missing slayers.

Apart from being a wonderful chappie (the
wait was well worth!), moving the storyline on
thoughtfully (and very caringly) from Buffy's POV - and I knew
that prat would be 'up to no good', it was also a
nasty cliffhanger!
Now you need to imagine Spike (reading that chappie).
Clap, clap, clap. "Yeah, very nice, pet." Pauses to
light up and take a drag. "But don't you know it's rude
to leave the dance before the twirl?"
What can I say? That really is not the way to have
patient readers! Groans. Thanks for a wonderful update.
I, for one, will be tapping fingers imaptiently during
the (small-ish?) pause before the next chappie.

was an excellent one for danger. Dawn to the rescue

relationship and a joined pursuit of the slayer power thief.

Moira's manipulations are finally paying
off in a big way. You wrote the awkward reunion really
well - the anger and uncertainty and frustration
poured off the page. Buffy having to rein herself in not
to strike out physically was a nice touch to bring
Spike's possible motives for staying away into focus.
This story is captivating, and I'm really enjoying Gus
and Moira. This piece fast paced, exciting and
emotionally rewarding, and I'm enjoying the intricacy of the
plot.

Couldn't help but think that this comment was just a
little bit rich from someone whose last words to Spike were to do with
threatening to set him on fire. I'm not saying that it's out of character for
Dawn, mind, just saying that I wanted to slap the selfish little bitca for
getting on his case when she really forfeited any rights she had in that respect
a long time ago. And poor Spike left "trapped" in the other flat "awaiting
sentencing" while Buffy's sleeping...
